SEASONAL MT. BIKE PATROL
The Bike Patrol program allows people who are interested in law enforcement an opportunity to observe the functions of this police department. Bike Patrol Officers learn about law enforcement by observing and assisting. Bike Patrol Officers are considered auxiliary personnel, have no police authority, and are not peace officers.
The focus of the Sunriver Police Department Bike Patrol program is to provide a strong foundation for members to become ethical and educated law enforcement officers of the future.
Position
Available: May to September (training will be on the weekends until the end of the school year)
Salary: $12.50 hour. Sunriver does not provide housing or other benefits to seasonal employees.
Min. Eligibility
Requirements: Applicants for the Bike Patrol program must meet the following standards:
· Be a citizen of the United States and reside in Central Oregon area.
· Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
· Not have been convicted of any crime.
· Possession of, or the ability to secure a valid Oregon state drivers license, and maintain a reasonable driving record.
· Pass a multi phase selection process consisting of a written examination, oral interview, and a background investigation.
