The Sunriver Service District was established on July 1, 2002 and is unique in that it oversees both the fire and police departments.

The District consists of five board members.  The board members manage the funding for the district, and with the Chiefs manage the personnel for both departments. 

 The board members and chiefs meet monthly (schedule) to discuss pending business to maintain excellent emergency services for a high quality of life in Sunriver.
